Continue your Himalayan motorcycle adventure as you ride deeper into the Spiti Valley. Depart from Nako and descend to Tabo, a serene village on the banks of the Spiti River. Your adventure will include a thrilling motorcycle ride to several captivating destinations. Begin with a visit to Key Gompa, a renowned Buddhist monastery perched at an altitude of 4,166 meters, offering panoramic views of the Spiti Valley. Next, journey to Komic Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in Asia at 4,275 meters. Known for its unique high-altitude charm, Komic provides breathtaking landscapes and a glimpse into the resilient lifestyle of its residents. Continue your exploration to Langza, famous for its ancient fossils. From Kunzum, descend into the Chandra Valley, following rugged mountain tracks along the Chandra River. The terrain is raw and challenging, with several glacial streams and rocky patches testing your riding skills.
Reach Gramphu, where you join the Manali-Leh Highway and continue northward into the alpine landscapes of Lahaul. By late afternoon, arrive in Jispa, a serene Himalayan village nestled along the Bhaga River, surrounded by towering peaks and meadows.

Day 11 : Padum (Exploration Day)

Today is a well-earned break from long-distance riding, giving you the opportunity to explore the spiritual and cultural richness of the Zanskar Valley. After breakfast, you’ll ride a short distance to visit Karsha Monastery, the largest and most influential monastic institution in Zanskar. Perched dramatically on a hillside overlooking the valley, Karsha offers not only deep spiritual insight into Tibetan Buddhism but also panoramic views of the surrounding glacial peaks and rivers. You can witness prayer rituals, spin ancient prayer wheels, and interact with the resident monks. Later, continue to Bardan Gompa, a striking 17th-century monastery located on a rocky outcrop above the Tsarap River. Belonging to the Dugpa-Kagyud sect, the monastery resembles a fortress and features large prayer halls and intricate woodwork. The day is not just about architecture—it’s about immersion. Take time to walk through local Zanskari villages like Pipiting, interact with warm-hearted locals, observe traditional lifestyles that have remained unchanged for centuries, and perhaps even join a short hike across barley fields or a visit to Zangla Palace, the former royal residence of the valley. The peaceful ambiance, the deep Buddhist spirituality, and the breathtaking natural backdrop make this a uniquely enriching day. Return to your guesthouse in Padum for a quiet evening, savoring the rare tranquility that only such remote regions can offer.

Day 12 : Padum→Rangdum (110 Km / 5 Hrs Ride)

After breakfast, begin your ride deeper into the heart of the wild Himalayas as you make your way from Padum to Rangdum, venturing through the stunning and remote Suru Valley. Along the way, witness the shifting landscapes—from green meadows dotted with sheep to stark mountain walls and glacial fields. As you approach Rangdum, the terrain gets more rugged, with challenging stretches that demand focus and skill. This region, situated at an altitude of 3,657 meters, is known for its raw, untouched beauty and deep spiritual energy. Look out for the awe-inspiring Drang-Drung Glacier, and if weather permits, catch sight of the majestic twin peaks of Nun (7,135 m) and Kun (7,087 m)—the tallest in the region. Rangdum is also home to an ancient and revered Buddhist monastery, perched in isolation, offering a sense of peace and timelessness. Upon arrival, check into your camp or guest house for the night. The rest of the evening is free to relax, soak in the stillness, and perhaps enjoy a warm meal under the starlit Himalayan sky.

After breakfast, start riding through the remote and stunning Suru Valley. Ascend gently over Pensi La (4,400 m)—the gateway between Zanskar and Suru—offering breathtaking views of the majestic Drang-Drung Glacier, one of Ladakh’s largest. The descent from the pass winds through rugged alpine terrain, dotted with glacial rivers and snow-fed streams.
Pass isolated villages like Parkachik, famed for its hanging glacier, and Sankoo, a green oasis nestled in the mountains. As the terrain softens, you’ll arrive in Kargil, a lively transit town and the endpoint of your Zanskar adventure. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax after a scenic and rewarding ride. Overnight stay in Kargil.
